# Freshping shut down: honest alternatives and how to migrate

> Freshping shut down in March 2026 and its data is gone. What its free plan offered, what replaces it, and where YoPingMe fits - and where it doesn't.

Freshping is not declining, pivoting, or winding down slowly. It's gone.
Freshworks disabled free accounts on March 6, 2026, and permanently
deleted all account data after June 4, 2026, per its official deprecation
FAQ. If you're reading this, you're probably not comparing monitors -
you're replacing one that vanished.

## What happened to Freshping?

Freshworks deprecated it. Free accounts stopped working on March 6, 2026,
and all monitoring data was permanently deleted after June 4, 2026; as of
July 2026, the deprecation FAQ on the Freshping support site is the main
thing left standing. If you didn't export your uptime history before the
deletion date, it is unrecoverable. Nobody migrating from Freshping
brings data with them - everyone starts from zero.

## What did Freshping's free plan offer?

50 checks at 1-minute intervals, free. That number deserves a moment of
respect: as of July 2026, we know of no hosted free tier that matches it.
Most free plans check 5 to 20 monitors every 3 to 5 minutes, and 1-minute
intervals are almost always a paid feature.

Freshping could afford to be that generous because it was a free product
inside a much larger company - and when the company's priorities moved,
the product went away. That's not a knock on Freshworks. It's the risk
profile of any free tool that isn't its maker's main business, and it's
worth remembering while you choose the replacement.

## What actually replaces 1-minute checks?

Honestly: a paid plan, a self-hosted monitor, or one free exception we
know of. If 1-minute detection is a requirement and not a habit, pick
from this list, not from us:

- **Self-host Uptime Kuma.** Any interval you want, as many monitors as
  your hardware carries. You also inherit the hosting, the updates, and
  the job of monitoring your monitor - we wrote an honest page about

- **Pay for a hosted plan.** Most hosted monitors sell 1-minute
  intervals on their entry paid tiers. Prices and limits change often
  enough that you should read the vendor's current pricing page, not a
  blog post's summary of it - ours included.
- **HetrixTools' free tier.** As of July 2026 it checks 15 monitors at
  1-minute intervals - the closest free match to Freshping we're aware
  of. We haven't run it in production; verify it fits before you depend
  on it.

## Where does YoPingMe fit - and where doesn't it?

Plainly: YoPingMe checks every 5 minutes, not every 1 minute. If your
alerting genuinely depends on knowing inside a minute, our free plan is
not your Freshping replacement, and no wording on this page changes that
arithmetic.

If 1-minute checks were the default you happened to be on rather than a
requirement, the trade we offer is different: fewer, slower checks that
are much harder to fool. Freshping's documentation went offline with the
product, so the left column lists only what we can still verify - blank
cells are honesty, not shade.

Every YoPingMe check runs from two regions you choose, and nothing pages
you until both agree - a routing blip in one region stays a blip. SSL
expiry is watched on the same free plan as uptime, so the certificate
that quietly runs out on a Saturday gets caught on a Tuesday.

Can we promise we won't shut down like Freshping did? No, and after
March 2026 you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What we can say
is smaller and checkable: this page tells you plainly when we're the
wrong choice, and every claim on it about our product is true as
written.

## When is YoPingMe the wrong replacement?

- **You need detection inside a minute.** We check every 5 minutes.
- **You need more than 10 monitors.** Freshping gave 50; our free plan
  gives 10.
- **You relied on public status pages.** YoPingMe doesn't have them
  yet; they're on the roadmap, not in the product.

## How do I migrate from Freshping?

There's nothing to import - the data was deleted in June 2026, so every
former Freshping user starts from scratch wherever they land. Starting
from scratch here looks like this:

1. [Sign up](https://app.yoping.me/signup) - the wizard runs your first check
   from both your regions while you type.
2. Recreate your checks, most important first: HTTP for pages, keyword
   for pages that can return 200 while broken, SSL for certificates,
   ping and TCP for everything that isn't HTTP.
3. Point alerts at email, a webhook, or Slack, and trigger a test alert
   so your first real page isn't also your first test.

The one-sentence version: 10 monitors, checked every 5 minutes from two
regions you pick, free for commercial use, from a page that told you
twice when to go somewhere else.
