Privacy policy

This policy covers the marketing site at yoping.me. The YoPingMe app at app.yoping.me is a separate service with its own legal page.

The short version: this site has no accounts and no forms. It counts visits two ways - Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and always on, and Google Analytics, which loads only if you accept the consent banner. If you decline, nothing from Google ever loads.

What this site collects

The site is static. By itself it sets no cookies and stores nothing about you, and the free tools under /tools run in your browser. The one that shows your IP address reads it from this site's own edge (Cloudflare's /cdn-cgi/trace endpoint, the same server that delivered the page) and renders it on your screen only - this site stores none of it, and nothing goes to any third-party lookup service. The site checker is the one tool with a server half: the URL you enter is sent to this site's edge, which fetches it twice to compute the verdict, reads no page content, and stores nothing - the URL is processed like any request data (the Cloudflare bullet below) and kept in no list of ours.

• Serving pages. yoping.me runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes standard request data - your IP address, user agent, and the URL you asked for - to deliver pages and block abuse.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics. Aggregate counts of pages viewed, referrers, countries, and browsers. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. It runs for every visitor.
• Google Analytics - only if you accept. It loads through Google Tag Manager only after you click Accept in the banner, and it sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_XVSG9MV429, to tell returning visitors apart. It is configured for analytics only: the advertising consent categories are permanently denied, Google signals is off, and data is kept for 14 months. If you never accept, no Google code loads and nothing - not even an anonymous ping - is sent to Google.
• Your choice. Remembered in your browser under the localStorage key yp-consent: the choice and a timestamp, nothing else. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat that as a decline and skip the banner.

Changing your mind

"Cookie settings" in the footer reopens the banner on any page. Declining after you accepted stops collection immediately and deletes the _ga cookies this site set. An ad blocker works too - every page works fine without analytics.

Who processes data

Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the cookieless visit counts. Google processes Google Analytics data, and only after you accept. Nobody else: we don't sell data, share it for advertising, or run ad pixels.

Your rights

The analytics data is aggregate or pseudonymous - we can't look you up in it or identify you from it. Everything else is in your hands: decline or withdraw as described above, or clear this site's cookies and storage whenever you like. Questions and requests: abuse@yoping.me.
